FICCI Forum of Parliamentarians in partnership with KAS India office will be organising the seventh MP conversation under the FICCI- KAS Reimagine India Series with a Special Address by Shri Jairam Ramesh, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) on August 24, 2021 from 1600 - 1700 hrs in a virtual format.
In this unprecedented situation where the governments all across the world are trying to mitigate the effects of the pandemic, it is important to understand varied aspects of politics and governance as well as societal living in the 'New Normal'. FICCI Forum of Parliamentarians has been engaging with leading Parliamentarians across party lines virtually to seek their views on several contemporary topics. One of these platforms is FICCI- KAS Reimagine India Series. The topic for this edition is 'India's Climate Diplomacy'. The global carbon system is an interlocked system with a spillover effect. India, being one of the rapidly growing economies, has delineated its clean energy goals and its commitment towards creating low carbon systems. Thus, its position on Climate Diplomacy holds greater relevance for its geopolitical and foreign policy strategy.
