National Campaign on System Diversification in Aquaculture will be organized by ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture on 01- September-2021 (Timing: 10:30 AM- 1:30 PM) in virtual format. It will be organized to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India's Independence (Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav).
Purpose of Webinar:

Aquaculture, the fastest growing food-producing sector is facing major challenges in recent years due to frequent occurrences of extreme weather conditions, scarcity of land and water resources, outbreaks of diseases, etc.

This sector needs horizontal and vertical expansion for higher fish production. The diversification of aquaculture will enable us to gain knowledge that allows us to cope with future changes and challenges in the sector.

This webinar will focus on the recent trends in aquaculture system diversification both in seed and grow out production and have detailed presentations on the recent hi-end novel technologies like RAS, Biofloc, Aquaponics, FIMTA, Flow-through, etc. from freshwater aquaculture perspectives.
