During the last decade, Indian agriculture has witnessed a number of innovations and improved technological interventions such as new improved crop varieties, good agricultural practices, effective water & nutrient management practices, disease & pest management modules, beer food processing & value-addition tactics and more, for specific objectives aimed at boosting agricultural productivity, profitability and promoting overall agricultural growth and development in the country.
Though these innovations and advancements in agricultural technology are appreciable, their socio-scientific usage, awareness and outreach to the farmers in different regions of the country are still desirable.
In this context, National Education Empowerment and Development Foundation is organizing Regional Conference on Prioritizing Crop-Specific Technologies for Sustainable Profitability: The Uttar Pradesh Chapter on April 29-30, 2022. Uttar Pradesh, being one of the most populous states of India and known for the dependency of its majority on agriculture & related activities for their livelihoods; awareness creation, adoption and right usage of new improved technologies is of paramount importance.
Furthermore, understanding and adopting crop-specific technologies in Uttar Pradesh is now a call of the hour so as to derive the full potential of the state in terms of agricultural growth and productivity. Also, the economy of a state like Uttar Pradesh plays a vital role in contributing towards socioeconomic growth and overall sustainable development goals (SDGs) in the country.
