The Company’s promoters possess four decades of experience in India’s agrochemical industry comprising an understanding of relationship building, customized application, pan-India distribution and effective marketing. 

Reach

The Company enjoys technical collaborations with seven leading global innovating companies (4 American and 6 Japanese) whose strength lies in R&D and product customization. The Company was the first to launch DuPont products in India in the Nineties; the relationship continues despite DuPont having made an independent entry into India. Partnership-driven revenues accounted for 43 percent of the Company’s income in 2015-16. 

Brand portfolio

The Company possesses a range of more than 85 brands. Over the years, the Company has strengthened its reputation as a one-stop solution provider for diverse crops, regions and seasons. The brand- led proportion of the Company’s revenues accounted for almost 70 percent of the Company’s turnover in 2015-16. 

First-mover’s advantage

The Company was the first to introduce miticides in India, targeting mites, which ravage crops. This first mover’s advantage helped develop the market for mites and enhance the Company’s market share in a growing agrochemical segment.

The Company’s units are located strategically in Gurgaon (Haryana), Sanand (Gujarat) and Udhampur (J&K) and Keshwana (Rajashtan)

The Company does not just market products; it conducts field demonstrations where product efficacy is demonstrated and farmers are educated for ‘Dhanuka kheti ki nai takneek’. Dhanuka also offers seed treatment solutions to farmers. 

Shri R. G. Agarwal, Chairman, Dhanuka Agritech Limited is a story of a self-made man to start this enterprise from scratch, primarily for his concern for the rural community in far flung Indian villages. After graduating from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University with B. Com (Hons) his vision was that of a technocrat to take over a sick manufacturing unit and transform it into a profitable venture. His deep commitment and inspiring leadership in those initial turbulent days in an example worth inculcating. His passion to contribute to Indian Agriculture is commendable. Over four long decades, he never lost his vision. He has dedicated himself to bring changes in Agrochemicals Industry and the farming community. His contribution for adopting newer farming techniques at the grass root level, judicious use of agro chemicals in farming and imparting knowledge through his nationwide network of distributors and Dhanuka Doctors in field has resulted in the overall prosperity of farmers. The founder’s foresightedness can be seen in the acquisition of a sick unit “Northern Minerals Pvt. Limited” in 1980. In 1985, Dhanuka Pesticides Ltd, a separate entity was incorporated. Dhanuka Pesticides Ltd was renamed as Dhanuka Agritech Ltd in 2007 and Northern Minerals Ltd was subsequently merged with Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. 

Under the dynamic stewardship of Mr. Agarwal, Dhanuka Group has attained a distinguished place in Agro Chemical Industry with annual revenue of INR 9627 million and a market share of 7 percent. The company is synonymous with values driven ethical business. Over the years, Dhanuka Agritech Limited has been bestowed with numerous awards.
