CNH Industrial Launches Interactive Education Program in India

CNH Industrial and its New Holland Agriculture brand are bringing multimedia learning to the classrooms across India through the ‘New Holland Digital Classroom’. The aim of this multimedia education program is to improve the quality of teaching and capabilities of government schools in India. It is a part of CNH Industrial India’s Corporate Social Responsibility  or CSR program and it represents an investment of INR 25M from the firm.

The program, which will be executed with the help of New Holland’s national dealer network, is being rolled out to 77 schools in 16 states that include Haryana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Punjab. The program is likely to benefit around 30,000 students.

The program also encourages the use of technology to bring an immersive classroom experience for the students. For this, the schools have been provided integrated multimedia K-Yan Knowledge Devices that combines interactivity, computing, projection, internet access, and television in one compact teaching aid.

The devices have been preloaded & equipped with the below given content:

  1. Interactive Multimedia Content and 2D or 3D Content Modules - A range of animated audio-video based modules developed for various subjects.

  2. Virtual Science Experiments & ‘Exploriments’ - These are simulation-based interactive virtual experiments that improve conceptual understanding in Science. The ‘Exploriments’ offer a highly exploratory & engaging experience.

  3. Science Videos - A large collection of educational videos developed using easily available elements to elucidate science concepts in a simplistic & contextual manner.

  4. Capacity Building Exercises for the teachers.

CNH Industrial’s CSR department and New Holland will carry out a Periodical Impact Assessment to evaluate the learning outcomes at the schools in which the project will be executed. CNH Industrial is dedicated to conducting Sustainability activities in the regions in which it operates. This education program is another means to catalyse & sustain the growth of the communities situated in proximity to the operational areas of New Holland’s dealer network.
