Qualifications and Experience
Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (RDBS):
-
General: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWBD) from a recognized institution, or a postgraduate degree/MBA/PGDM with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWBD), or CA/CS/ICWA/Ph.D.

Chartered Accountant: Bachelor's degree in any field and ICAI membership obtained by 01-07-2024.

Finance: BBA/BMS in Finance/Banking with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWBD), or a full-time postgraduate diploma/MBA/MMS in Finance with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWBD), or a Bachelor's in Financial and Investment Analysis. Special certifications like CFA, FRM, etc., are desirable.

Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (Rajbhasha):

Bachelor’s degree in English or Hindi with Hindi and English as subjects with 60% marks (55% for SC/PWBD) plus a PG Diploma in Translation or a Master’s degree in Hindi/English with 60% marks (55% for SC/PWBD) with English/Hindi studied as a main/elective subject.

Candidates must be able to translate between English and Hindi.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years old as of 01-07-2024, meaning they should be born between 02-07-1994 and 01-07-2003. Age relaxation is provided for specific categories: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PWBD (General), 13 years for PWBD (OBC), and 15 years for PWBD (SC/ST). Ex-servicemen and Emergency Commissioned Officers can also receive up to 5 years of relaxation under certain conditions. No cumulative age relaxation is allowed beyond these provisions.

Selection Procedure
The selection process consists of four phases:

Preliminary Examination: Includes tests on Reasoning, English Language, Computer Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, Decision Making, General Awareness, Economic and Social Issues (with a focus on Rural India), and Agriculture & Rural Development. The exam has 200 questions for a total of 200 marks, with a composite time of 120 minutes. Only the scores from the Merit section (General Awareness, Economic and Social Issues, Agriculture & Rural Development) are considered for shortlisting candidates for the Mains exam.

Mains Examination: (i) For Generalist: Paper I: General English (descriptive, 100 marks, 90 minutes). Paper II: Economic and Social Issues and Agriculture & Rural Development (objective and descriptive, 100 marks, 120 minutes). (ii) For Specialist and Rajbhasha: Paper I: General English (descriptive, 100 marks, 90 minutes). Paper II: Stream-specific (objective and descriptive, 100 marks, 120 minutes).

Psychometric Test: Mandatory, MCQ-based, 90 minutes duration.

Interview: Worth 50 marks. Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the Mains and Psychometric Test.
Application Procedure

Eligible candidates must apply online via the website www.nabard.org. Applications submitted through any other method will not be accepted. The application form must be completed in English, although the option to use Hindi will be available for the Online/Main Examination and Interview.

The application fee structure, excluding GST, is: SC/ST/PWBD candidates pay only a Rs. 150 intimation charge, while others pay Rs. 850 (Rs. 700 application fee + Rs. 150 intimation charge). NABARD employees must pay initially but can get reimbursed if eligible, with verification at the interview.
