The Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, is inviting applications for the position of Jr. Research Fellow (JRF) which can be converted into a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for a significant project.

Jr. Research Fellow (JRF): |
Rs. 31,000/- per month fixed + 16% HRA for the first two years |
|
Senior Research Fellow (SRF): |
Rs. 35,000/- per month fixed + 16% HRA from the third year onwards |
Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Biotechnology (in crop plants)/Biosciences with a minimum OCPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks.

Master’s degree in Plant Pathology/Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Genetics (in crop plants)/Biotechnology (in crop plants) with a minimum OCPA of 6.5/10.00 or 65% marks.

Qualification in NET/SLET-LS/GATE/other national level tests conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies.
Candidates with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline but lacking a Master's degree are also eligible.
NET qualified candidates may be recruited as JRF, while those without NET may be considered for the position of Project Associate -1.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience or research work in the relevant field would be advantageous.
