Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT) is inviting candidates for interviews for the position of Young Professional - II, Project Associate - I (Horticulture), Project Manager, and Project Scientist-II for selection on the position/s purely on temporary/contract/co-terminus basis under Externally Funded/In-house Projects of the Institute. Qualifications  and Eligibility

  • Young Professional - II (1 post): M.Sc. in Agricultural Chemicals or Chemistry from a recognized university. Experience in degradation, metabolism, or remediation studies.

  • Young Professional - II (2 posts): M.Sc. in Agricultural Chemicals or Chemistry from a recognized university. Experience in R&D laboratory or pesticide formulation development.

  • Young Professional - II (1 post): M.Sc. in Agricultural Chemicals or Chemistry from a recognized university. Experience in R&D laboratory or pesticide formulation development.

  • Project Associate - I (Horticulture)(1 post): M.Sc. (Ag.) in Horticulture or M.Sc. (Horticulture) from a recognized university with ICAR/UGC/CSIR-NET or GATE qualification OR M.Sc. (Ag.) in Horticulture or M.Sc. (Horticulture) from a recognized university. Preferable Qualification: Ph.D. in Horticulture.

  • Project Manager (1 Post): Ph.D. in Chemistry and/or at least 20 years of experience in Analytical Mass Spectrometry, demonstrated through certificates, publications, patents, etc. Proficiency in handling and maintaining hyphenated analytical techniques like GC-MS/MS, LC-HRMS, and LC-MS/MS; adeptness in project and manuscript writing, and evaluation of test reports; experience in participating in OPCW-related proficiency testing programs; familiarity with ISO 17025 standards.

  • Project Scientist-II (QSAR) (1 Post): Doctoral Degree in Chemoinformatics/Computational Chemistry or a related field, or a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in Bioinformatics, Computational Chemistry/Biology, Modelling & Simulation from a recognized university or equivalent. At least three years of experience in model development, machine learning, QSAR, or related scientific services in industrial, academic, or science & technology sectors. Preferred qualifications include prior work in a QSAR laboratory, proficiency in software tools like KNIME, Python or R, and familiarity with various SQL and no-SQL database architectures. Publication in SCI indexed journals is considered advantageous.

Age limit: Maximum age limit of Young Professional-II is 45 years, Project Associate-I - (Horticulture) is 35 years and Project Scientist-II (QSAR) is 40 years

Monthly Remuneration 

  • Young Professional - II - 42,000/-

  • Project Associate - I (Horticulture) - 31,000/-+HRA OR 25,000/-+HRA (Without NET/GATE)

  • Project Manager - 1,25,000/-

  • Project Scientist-II - 67,000/- + HRA (Increment of 5% for every 2 years of experience subject to performance review)

Selection Procedure

Selection will be based on the qualification and performance in the interview.
