The inauguration took place in Hall No. 4 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, in the presence of senior officers from the Ministry and its affiliated organizations.
This year's MSME Pavilion at the 42nd IITF centers around the theme "PM Vishwakarma," the flagship scheme of the Ministry of MSME, launched on September 17, 2023, by the Prime Minister of India. Minister Rane emphasized the significance of Traditional Artisans and Craftsmen, commonly referred to as 'Vishwakarmas,' stating that they are the true builders of the nation.
During his speech at the inauguration ceremony, Rane expressed that the trade fair provides a valuable platform for MSME entrepreneurs, particularly women, SC/STs, and those from aspirational districts, to showcase their skills and products, creating new avenues for growth.
Notably, over 85% of the stalls were allocated to first-time participants, with 64 Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) representing aspirational districts across the country. Furthermore, 66% of stalls were designated for women entrepreneurs, and 55% were allocated to enterprises from SC/ST categories, all provided free of cost. The pavilion featured representation from 29 States and Union Territories.
Minister Rane took the opportunity to engage with various MSME exhibitors within the pavilion, where entrepreneurs showcased an array of products spanning Textiles, Handloom, Embroidery works, Custom Tailoring, Handicrafts, Gems & Jewellery, Leather Footwear, Games & Toys, Bamboo crafts, Cane items, Furniture, Ceramics & Pottery, Food products, Cosmetics, Chemical Products, Mechanical items, and more.
