It was a big day for Krishi Jagran, India’s largest agricultural media company. The dream of Krishi Jagran’s editor-in-chief M.C. Dominic came to life with the launch of FTB Organic e-commerce platform. A year ago, FTB (Farmer the Brand) was started that gave farmers a platform to express about their farming. However, this gave a short-lived opportunity to farmers to sell their produce.
The need of the hour is to give farmers a constant platform where they can sell their produce and fetch the best price possible. Farmers of India can do well without middlemen.
FTB Organic comes at the right time to give farmers what they were yearning for, but had almost lost hope of getting it. Now, with this e-commerce platform, which is the brainchild of M.C. Dominic, hopes are once again high amongst farmers. Many have already registered at the platform. Many others are looking forward to doing this.
With FTB Organic launch being the biggest news of the day, IFFCO’s nano urea liquid, Swaraj Tractors’ program, and NAFED and NCDEX agreement stole the limelight too. The following are glimpses of top news of the day compiled by our staff.
