Fulfilling Dreams and Championing Organic Farming: Bharatbhai's Journey

With a business legacy spanning decades and an estimated worth of 2500 crores, Bharatbhai Parsana shared his profound journey at the KJ Chaupal. He recounted his dedication to the welfare of farmers, emphasizing his commitment to amplifying the dreams outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Bharatbhai stated that he worked tirelessly, metaphorically standing on one leg, solely to elevate the livelihoods of farmers in Gujarat and contribute to the Prime Minister's vision.

From Vision to Reality: Gujarat's Organic Farming Revolution

During the KJ Chaupal session, Bharatbhai reminisced about Prime Minister Modi's aspirations during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat (from 2001 to 2014). The vision to transform Gujarat into a hub of organic farming spurred Bharatbhai and his contemporaries into action. Collaborating with industrialist Veljibhai Bhuria, Bharatbhai worked towards the development of organic fertilizers, aiming to shift Gujarat's agricultural landscape from chemical farming to natural farming.

Challenges, Triumphs, and a Pledge of Accountability

Bharatbhai revealed that over 7 lakh farmers in Gujarat have transitioned from conventional to organic farming practices. He attributed the entire credit of this transition to the efficacy of the organic fertilizers pioneered by him. With bountiful yields and substantial incomes, Bharatbhai issued a bold challenge, pledging to compensate any farmer with one crore rupees if their crops suffer damage due to his fertilizers.

Empowering Farmers with Organic Solutions: The Parsana Method

Detailing the composition and application of his organic fertilizers, Bharatbhai shared insights for sustainable agriculture:

Jivamrut: A concoction of 20 kilograms of cow dung, 5-10 liters of cow urine, one kilogram of jaggery, and two liters of sour buttermilk in 150 liters of water should be sprayed on crops every 15 days. Bharatbhai affirms that this solution is a boon for crops and will help them yield effectively.

Dhanjivamrut: A blend of one kilogram of cow dung, 5-10 liters of cow urine, one kilogram of jaggery, and 2 liters of sour buttermilk, kept for fermentation to create organic compost for one acre of land.

Natural Pest Control: For natural pest control, mix one kilogram of granulated asafoetida and soak it in 5 liters of water for 24 hours. Then, mix 100-250 ml of milk and 200 grams of jaggery. The natural pesticide is ready to be sprinkled on the field, keeping away both pests and animals.

Bharatbhai also suggested tailored solutions for various crops, ensuring optimal growth and yield without the use of harmful chemicals.
