During the discussion, the CEC emphasized the potential of agricultural and associated sectors, as well as the role of DIHAR and DRDO technologies in advancing agriculture in the district.
Khan stated that the meeting's goal was to produce a comprehensive and strategic plan for the district's agriculture and allied sectors. The conference was called by Lieutenant Governor UT Ladakh, Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd), to review inputs for the district's agriculture and allied sectors strategy.
Concerning the proposals of progressive farmers, Khan stated that they must be targeted and executed in order to enhance crop output and agricultural entrepreneurship in the district with a favourable Cost-Benefit Ratio(CBR).
On the advice of senior scientist SKUAST Kargil, he underlined the best apricot packaging plan so that there would be brand promotion and the people of Kargil would benefit the most from apricot export.
The CEC also discussed fodder development and the identification of suitable areas for it. He proposed that the DRDO provide scientific training to Kargil authorities, businesspeople, and farmers.
Earlier, in his presentation, Scientist DIHAR, DRDO, Leh described the goal of transforming the agriculture industry through creative technology.
