Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that the central government approved the state's proposal to buy soybeans at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). This decision comes in response to recent concerns from local farmers who were struggling with soybean prices falling below the MSP.

Addressing the issue, Chouhan emphasized that the welfare of farmers is a top priority for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He stressed that supporting farmers is akin to worship. Addressing concerns raised by Madhya Pradesh farmers, Chouhan noted that soybean was being sold below the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Previously, similar measures had been taken in states like Maharashtra and Karnataka to ensure soybean was bought at MSP. In response to the current situation, Chouhan urged immediate action.

However, after Chouhan's call to action yesterday at 9 a.m., the Madhya Pradesh government swiftly moved to address the concerns. By the evening, the state's cabinet had proposed purchasing soybean at MSP, and the central government received the formal request.

Chouhan confirmed that the central government promptly approved the proposal the following morning. This decision not only aims to stabilize the market but also reinforces the government's commitment to supporting the agricultural sector. This move is expected to alleviate the concerns of soybean farmers in Madhya Pradesh, ensuring that their hard work is rewarded and reinforcing the government's commitment to supporting the agricultural sector.
