Coronavirus Update: New Symptoms added in Covid-19 List, Increasing Discomfort of Patients

It has been around a half year now since we first heard about the Covid-19 infection and since then, cases have just been increasing across the world at a very disturbing rate. This deadly virus has engulfed more than 180 countries. So far more than six lakh people have died due to this epidemic, while about 15 million people have been infected. The findings and trials for its vaccine continue. Although many countries have claimed that they have made the vaccine, but some of them are in the first or second phase of the trial, and some have reached the third stage.

If all goes well, the world will soon get the Covid-19 vaccine, but some experts believe that even after the discovery of the vaccine, it is difficult to completely control the pandemic. They say that people will have to live with Corona in the coming years. The most special, but dangerous thing about this disease is that its symptoms, which are also changing and increasing from time to time.

In its initial stage, only four symptoms were revealed, but later more symptoms started, which further aggravated the problems of corona infected patients. Now a new symptom of the corona has emerged, but the Indian Council of Medical Research, i.e., ICMR, has not yet officially included it in the prescribed symptoms. Let's know about this new symptom and how dangerous it is.

The initial symptoms of corona infection are as follows:

  • High fever

  • Dry cough

  • Sore throat

  • Shortness of breath

Below are those symptoms which were included later in addition to the earlier four.

  • Headache, body ache, fatigue

  • Chills

  • Loss of smell or taste

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  • Runny nose or Congestion

Apart from the four symptoms of onset, these symptoms have also been officially included in the corona symptoms by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Not feeling smell or taste has also been included in the major symptoms of the corona. Apart from the World Health Organization (WHO), scientists and experts around the world have included the above symptoms of the coronavirus. Now, rash in the mouth is included in the latest symptoms of the Coronavirus. While giving this information, the Spanish doctors said that in the last few days, they had many corona infected patients who had a problem of rashes in the mouth.

The study about this new symptom of the corona was published on July 15 in Jama Dermatology. It has been reported that out of all the people who have been infected with a corona in the last few days, some patients suffered from skin rashes i.e. skin rashes and some mouth rashes. This was surprising as no investigation related to it had been done until now. However, this new symptom has not yet been officially included in corona symptoms.

Necessary suggestions are being made around the world to prevent this virus, including:

  • Stay at home, be safe (Do not leave the house without any necessary work)

  • Must wear a face mask while leaving home

  • Keep a distance of at least 6 feet from people in public places

  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth without reason

  • Wash hands frequently with soap, hand wash or uses a sanitizer

  • Clean the frequently touched surfaces

Keep these things in mind too:

  • Do not travel if not necessary

  • Avoid visiting crowded places

  • Do download the ArogyaSetu app and keep it active at all time

  • Do not spit in public places

  • Avoid rumors and rely only on reliable information

  • Do not discriminate if a person is infected or is engaged in their care.
