At a grand and distinguished state-level ceremony held in the capital of Chhattisgarh, renowned organic agriculture scientist, Chairperson of the Central Herbal Agro Marketing Federation of India (CHAMF), and National Convenor of the Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Mahasangh, Dr Rajaram Tripathi was conferred the prestigious ‘Pride of Nation Award - 2025.’
This honour was bestowed upon him in recognition of his long-standing contributions to environmental conservation, empowerment of tribal communities, groundbreaking innovations in organic and medicinal agriculture, and his leadership in farmer-centric national movements.
The award was presented by Mr Shashank Sharma, Chairperson of the Chhattisgarh sahitya akadami, and Mr G. R. Banjare ‘Jwala’, State President of Samata Sahitya Akademi, the organising institution.
Speakers at the ceremony observed that Dr Tripathi’s pioneering work, visionary leadership in farmers’ movements, extensive writings, and the national models he has developed for organic and herbal agriculture have significantly influenced India’s agricultural policies and environmental thought. The honour, they added, is not only an acknowledgement of his personal achievements but also a tribute to his lifelong commitment to giving India’s indigenous tribal knowledge systems a rightful national identity.
Under his leadership, Maa Danteshwari Herbal Farm & Research Centre, Bastar has emerged as a national hub for organic farming, natural fertiliser models, high-yield medicinal plant varieties, and tribal traditional medicine research. Thousands of farmers and scholars from across India and abroad visit the centre every year for specialised training.
Senior dignitaries present at the event remarked that personalities like Dr Tripathi are the backbone of India’s agricultural transformation, rural economy, and ecological future. His work, they said, will continue to inspire generations to come.
