Vaidya Jayant Deopujari, Chairman of the HSSC Sub Council on Ayush and the NCISM, emphasized the importance of "Skilling, Upskilling, and Reskilling" at a convocation ceremony hosted by the Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) in collaboration with the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) to expand the reach of the Indian Traditional Medicine System globally. The event, held at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, witnessed key stakeholders coming together to celebrate the achievements of Ayush Skilled Professionals.

Convocation ceremony served as a platform to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of individuals skilled and certified in various Ayush roles, including Yoga Therapy Assistant, Kshara Karma Technician, Panchakarma Technician, Yoga Wellness Trainer, Cupping Therapy Assistant, Cupping Therapist, and Ayurvedic Dietician. Many of these professionals have already secured placements in esteemed institutions, showcasing the effectiveness of skill development initiatives within the Ayush sector.

HSSC Sub Council on Ayush is dedicated to promoting skill development initiatives within the Ayush sector. With support from apex bodies, industry stakeholders, academic institutions, and other partners, the council aims to enhance the skill sets of individuals involved in Ayush practices. Dr. A.K Aggarwal from the HSSC governing council emphasized the potential of integrating Ayush and modern medicine to bridge the gap between traditional and contemporary healthcare practices.

Ayush Skills Convocation brought together over 150 delegates from across the country, including practitioners, educators, researchers, policymakers, and industry experts. The event facilitated networking opportunities and knowledge sharing, fostering collaboration among stakeholders. Prominent organizations such as the National Institute of Naturopathy, National Institute of Ayurveda, All India Institute of Ayurveda, and Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences actively participated, enriching the discourse on Ayush practices.

Convocation ceremony organized by the Healthcare Sector Skill Council in association with NCISM underscores the commitment of the Ministry of Ayush and the Government of India towards promoting Indian traditional medicine globally.

Through skill development initiatives and collaborative efforts, stakeholders aim to empower Ayush professionals, bridge healthcare gaps, and foster innovation in traditional and contemporary healthcare practices.
