The Division of Genetics at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi has announced a walk-in interview scheduled for July 31, 2024, to recruit temporary staff for the Collaborative Outstation Research Centre (CORC) in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh. One position is available for the role of Young Professional-II (YP-II), offering a fixed monthly fellowship of Rs. 35,000. The essential qualification for this role is an M.Sc. in Agriculture with a specialization in Plant Pathology or Seed Science and Technology. Desirable qualifications include experience in field experimentation, culturing pathogens, data collection and analysis, seed testing, and proficiency in using computers.
Additionally, there is one position for a Field Assistant, with a fixed monthly fellowship of Rs. 15,000. Candidates must have completed at least Class 10, with desirable experience in agricultural fieldwork, data collection, field layout, irrigation, harvesting, and threshing.
The third available position is for an SPU Operator, also offering a fixed monthly fellowship of Rs. 15,000. This role requires a minimum qualification of Class 10, with desirable experience in operating a Seed Processing Unit (SPU) fitted with a color sorter.
The maximum age limit for these positions is 35 years for men and 40 years for women, with age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government and ICAR rules. Interested candidates should report for certificate verification at 9:30 AM on July 31, 2024.
