The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has announced recruitment for three positions under the roles of Young Professional-I and Laboratory Attendant. This opportunity invites dedicated, qualified candidates to contribute to innovative agricultural projects while earning a monthly salary ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000. The selected candidates will serve for a one-year term, extendable based on performance.

Applicants with a Graduate degree or B.Tech in Agriculture specializing in Agricultural Economics or Extension, or a 12th-grade qualification with a science background, are eligible to apply. The selection process involves an offline interview, for which only shortlisted candidates will be invited. These interviews are scheduled for January 7, 2025, and January 23, 2025, at the ICAR-National Institute of Secondary Agriculture, Namkum, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Applications must be submitted via email by January 3, 2025, with incomplete or late submissions being disqualified.

The vacancies are distributed across three projects. One position for a Young Professional-I is allocated to the project on translational research promoting secondary agriculture. Candidates for this role must possess a Graduate degree in Agriculture with a specialization in Agricultural Economics or Extension, along with at least two years of relevant experience in field surveys, data analysis, and report writing.

Another Young Professional-I position is associated with developing equipment for debarking cinchona tree branches in hilly terrains. Eligible candidates should hold a B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering and possess practical skills in designing agricultural equipment. A Laboratory Attendant position is open to those with a 12th-grade science qualification, complemented by a diploma or technical expertise in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering.

The remuneration varies by role, with Young Professional-I positions offering Rs 30,000 per month and the Laboratory Attendant role providing Rs 15,000 per month. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email to participate in the interview process, during which they must present original testimonials for verification.
