How Does NTA Resolve Ties in JEE Main 2025?
NTA has different tie-breaking rules depending on the paper a student has appeared for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech), Paper 2A (B.Arch), and Paper 2B (B.Planning). Tie-Breaking Rules for JEE Main Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech)
If students score the same total marks in Paper 1, their ranks will be decided in the following order:

Tie-Breaking Rules for JEE Main Paper 2B (B.Planning)
For the B.Planning paper, the tie-breaking rules are slightly different but follow the same logic. Here’s the order:
