New Year Gift: Lakhs of Students to Get Free Mobile, Tablet, Bags, Shoes & Textbooks In This State

With the widespread of the Covid-19, the Uttarakhand government is providing mobile tablets to school children, taking into account the fact that online schooling is widely practiced across the state.

After Uttar Pradesh now the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami has also launched a Free Mobile Tablet scheme for the students on January 1, 2022. According to government data, this initiative will assist around 2 lakh 65 thousand children in Class 10 and 12 at degree colleges and state schools. 

According to a state government official, the DBT provided Rs 12,000 for the purchase of mobile tablets for pupils in classes 10 and 12 at state government institutions.

100 Female Students Got Complimentary Tablets  

Pushkar Singh Dhami, CM of Uttarakhand, handed out complimentary tablets to 100 female students at the Government Girls Inter College on Rajpur Road in Dehradun. This event was held on Saturday in all of the state's 70 Vidhan Sabhas. A new auditorium will be built at Government Girls Inter College on Rajpur Road, according to the Chief Minister.

For the purchase of the tablet, the DBT has already released funds to 1 lakh 59 thousand students in government institutions in grades 10 and 12. 

The Chief Minister further stated that "Taking online education was extremely tough for youngsters during the Covid-19 period. The government is providing tablets to the children in order to address the challenges they are experiencing. 

Country Is Making Rapid Progress under PM Modi’s Leadership  

He went on to say that India is a young country, with 65% of the population under the age of 35. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the country is making rapid progress. India is on its way to becoming self-sufficient.

He stated that the state administration is making all feasible efforts to improve the quality of education in the state. "Under the banner of digital learning, virtual lessons are being held at 500 schools around the state. This program will be implemented in 600 other schools in the near future. 

About 1,418 smart classes are being set up in around 709 government schools of the state, this work will complete by January 15, 2022, he added. 

Free Textbooks, Bags & Shoes Will Be Provided  

‘According to state government, free textbooks will be provided to students of classes 9 to 12 in all the government schools. Not only this, free bags & shoes are also being provided to students of classes 1 to 8 in the government schools.
