Ama KrushAI is a recently launched chatbot in Odisha, which is dedicated to the agro sector and aims to provide farmers with the best agronomic practices, government schemes, and loan products from more than 40 commercial and cooperative banks. The Odisha government launched this initiative as a part of its efforts to improve the extension delivery for millions of farmers in the state.

The Ama KrushAI is an artificial intelligence-driven ChatBot that has been built using the recently launched ChatGPT system and Bhashini, a language interpretation platform developed by IIT Madras. It has been trained to effectively resolve farmers' queries on a wide variety of topics and provides personalized responses to farmers based on their recorded data in the Krushak Odisha state farmers' database.

The Krushak Odisha state farmers' database contains detailed information about the farmers, including their land, crop, and livestock-related data. The ChatBot leverages this information to provide contextualized and personalized extension services to the farmers. This means that the advice provided by the ChatBot is tailored to the specific needs of each farmer, based on their recorded data.

The Ama KrushAI was launched by the Odisha governor Ganesh Lal in Bhubaneswar at the annual Krushi Odisha event. The event was attended by more than twenty thousand farmers and agri-entrepreneurs from across the state, and the theme for the year was emerging technologies in agriculture. This initiative is a revolutionary step towards providing farmers with the latest technologies and innovations in agriculture.

The director of agriculture and food production, Prem Chandra Chaudhary, said that the government is continuously working towards the betterment of farmers, and the Ama KrushAI is the latest step in this direction. He also mentioned that the government is committed to leveraging artificial intelligence to improve the extension delivery for millions of farmers in the state.

The Ama KrushAI is expected to help farmers in several ways. Firstly, it will provide them with information about the best agronomic practices, government schemes, and loan products available from commercial and cooperative banks. This information will help farmers make better decisions about their crops, livestock, and finances. Secondly, the ChatBot will be able to answer any questions that farmers may have, providing them with instant solutions to their problems.

The use of artificial intelligence to provide personalized and contextualized extension services is an innovative approach that could potentially transform the agricultural sector in the state. The initiative is a great example of how emerging technologies can be used to benefit society.
