Once again, in the Telangana Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET), girls exhibited outstanding performance, surpassing boys. It is noteworthy, however, that the top five ranks in the engineering stream were achieved by male candidates.

The Education Minister, Sabita Indra Reddy, disclosed the results of the Telangana Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET). In the engineering stream, 80% of candidates successfully qualified, while in the medical stream, 86% of candidates secured qualification. Among the engineering candidates, boys achieved a pass rate of 79%, whereas girls attained a pass rate of 86%.

Sanapalla Anirudh claimed the first position in the engineering stream, closely followed by Yakantipani Venkata Maninder Reddy, Challa Umesh Varun, Abhinit Manjeti, and Pannathota Pramod Kumar Reddy. The top five rankers in the Agricultural and Medical streams are Burugupalli Satya, Venkata Teja, Pasupuleti Lakshmi, Durgampudi Karthikeya Reddy, and Burra Varun Teja.

The Minister confirmed that the results, which had experienced a delay of three years, were finally released in May. Assurances were given that the admissions process would be timely this year. It is anticipated that the engineering admission notification will be issued in the coming days. The government's plan is to commence classes in August. Over the past three years, admissions had been extended until October due to challenges arising from the pandemic.

The examinations for this year took place between May 10 and 14. The engineering stream received applications from around 1.95 lakh students, while the medical and agriculture streams had approximately 1.06 lakh applicants. Overall, the EAMCET received a total of 3,20,683 applications, with an impressive attendance rate of 94.11%.

Once the TS EAMCET results are announced, the TSCHE (Telangana State Council of Higher Education) will release the counselling schedule. The counselling process will facilitate admissions to various participating institutions across the state.
