The process of bringing electric vehicles into practice in the country is in full swing now, not only the Central Government but the State Governments are also actively taking further steps in this direction, and taking this forward the Haryana Pro-EV Policy

The declaration has now become the new state of India. The Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, said that the state government has decided to offer subsidies on the purchase of electric vehicles.

Verdict on World Car Free Day

The CM of Haryana announced on World Car Free Day. He also said that the state government will provide the subsidy to all those, who buy electric vehicles in an effort to boost the demand for e-vehicles. Not only this, he advocated for the carpooling system instead of buying private vehicles.

The CNG buses, till now have been encouraged to check the pollution in Gurgaon. The government of Haryana is now aiming to lay an emphasis on running electric buses & electric autos in the city. 

On the other hand, Haryana has joined the states like Maharashtra, Karnataka including Delhi, Gujarat, which have already announced their respective EV policies. Some of these policies only focus on growing the electric vehicle manufacturing ecosystem, while some are designed while keeping the demand of customers in mind.

State Government Encourages to Opt EV Vehicles

There are some of the EV policies of the state government, which encourage the buyers to opt for EV vehicles instead of internal combustion vehicles. These subsidies of states are usually applied on top of the benefits of the FAME-II scheme of the central government.  

Around 50% of the Indian states so far have introduced their EV policies to promote the use of electric vehicles. This subsidy includes the financial subsidy on electric vehicles, exemption, road tax, the lower interest rate on loans, registration fee waiver, etc.
