The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert, forecasting heavy rainfall across various regions of India, particularly in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and Karnataka in South Peninsular India, as well as parts of Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh in West and Central India.
Heavy Rainfall in South India (14th - 18th October)
South Peninsular India is expected to witness significant rainfall activity during the week. The IMD predicts the following:

Kerala & Mahe, Lakshadweep, Puducherry & Karaikal, Coastal Karnataka, and Rayalaseema: Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall is expected throughout the week.
