Prime Minister Matritva Vandana Yojana: The Central Government runs a number of unique schemes throughout the nation which provides financial help to the people including women, the poor, and farmers.

Today, we will tell you about a Central Government scheme , in which Rs.6000 will be transferred into the women's account. 

Women are offered Rs. 6000

The benefit of this central government scheme is given only to the women.  This scheme is known as Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY Scheme) under which the Centre provides women with a total of Rs. 6000.  

Scheme started in 2017: 

The Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana provides financial help to women who are pregnant or lactating for the first time.

This scheme went into effect on January 1, 2017. It is also known as Pradhan Mantri Pregnancy Assistance Scheme. 

Who is eligible to apply? 

Pregnant women are eligible to apply for this scheme. 

What all documents are needed? 

  • Parents' Aadhar card

  • Parent's identity card

  • Child's birth certificate

  • Bank account Pass Book

 The goal of this scheme is to provide appropriate care for both mother and infant, for which the government provides Rs.6000 as financial assistance.

The government allocates this money in 3 phases. In the first phase Rs.1000, in the second phase Rs.2000 and in the third phase Rs.2000 are given to pregnant women. At the same time, the government transfers the remaining Rs.1000 to the hospital at the time of the child's birth.
