Traditional food production is under strain from a changing climate and diminishing land and water supplies as the world's population continues to rise. In an effort to combat the lack of food and nutritional security in underdeveloped nations, the horticulture industry may offer to improve food production through technological interventions. Technology is also laying the groundwork for horticulture's future in other ways.
New advancements in high-tech greenhouse horticulture, including as sensors, energy solutions, covering materials, robots, and production technologies, have been experienced by the sector. Digitalization has enormous possibilities. Automated, networked gardens may enable plot managers and planners to work remotely. In order to extract further insights from the plant development data gathered in these regulated conditions, machine learning and big data management are essential.
In light of this, Amity University will host the 2nd International Conference on Recent Advances in Horticulture Research (ICRAHOR-2024) on the 15th and 16th of February 2024 at F1 Seminar Hall, Amity University, Noida, U.P.
Objectives of ICRAHOR-2024
The conference seeks to offer a venue for audacious new initiatives, creative fixes, and strategies to revolutionize the horticultural sector. The conference's intended goals include providing researchers and students with up-to-date information on the newest technological advances in the horticulture industry.
-
To provide a framework for using horticulture products to improve food and nutritional security.
-
To have a thorough understanding of nanotechnology, high-tech horticulture, and molecular techniques
-
To familiarize researchers and students with cutting-edge ideas for the future, such as robotics, big data, and vertical farming.
-
To encourage horticultural research, business, and academia to undertake ambitious and creative research projects and start-up initiatives.
Focus Areas:
-
Theme 1: Technological advances in the horticulture sector
-
Theme 2: Role of AI in the horticulture sector
-
Theme 3: Advances in post-harvest management
-
Theme 4: Urban/Backyard farming
-
Theme 5: Horti-entrepreneurship success stories
Structure of the Conference
In order to discuss the most recent technological interventions and sustainable solutions for enhancing horticultural production, processing, nutritional security, quality, and supply chain resilience, the event will bring together scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, academicians, nutritionists, engineers, horticulturists, oleiculturists, florists, breeders, industrialists, quality analysts, and technologists from all over the world.
Call For Abstract Submission
Researchers, scientists, polic ymakers, academicians and students are invited to submit an abstract on any conference themes or related to [email protected] by 15th Jan 2024. A committee will review the abstract (POSTER/ ORAL PRESENTATIONS) and the selected abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings having ISBN No. Papers will be published in SCOPUS-indexed proceedings.
