    The Ministry of Culture organized the "Festival of Libraries 2023" in New Delhi on August 5 - 6, 2023. President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the two-day event, while Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar graced the valedictory ceremony. The festival aimed to highlight iconic libraries worldwide and foster conversations on modernizing and digitizing libraries in India. As part of the "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav," the event aimed to develop action-oriented policies for Model Libraries at all levels. The festival featured exhibitions, discussions, and sessions on library schemes and collections.

PM retweeted Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya’s post, where he informed that more than 5 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA) have been created through the NCD portal under the National Program for Non-Communicable Diseases.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday appreciated the event held in Delhi ‘IVPA Global Round Table on Veg Oil and Oilseed Sector’ supporting the agriculture sector. The two-day event started on August 4, Friday and concluded on August 5, Saturday. The Indian Vegetable Oil Producers' Association (IVPA) is an apex body that represents stakeholders in the edible oil value chain in India. The vision of IVPA is to promote sustainability, economic growth, and excellence in the edible oils and oilseeds value chain in India.

  • Social Distancing of Trees Found to Ensure Biodiversity in Tropical Forests, Reveals Study

    Drawing from a recent study conducted in a Panamanian forest, the notion of tropical trees practicing a form of "social distancing" for the sake of biodiversity might not hold true. The study, which was published in the journal Science, involved a combination of computational modelling and data collected over three decades. Remarkably, the research demonstrated that mature trees within this Panamanian forest were maintaining distances from other trees of the same species that were three times farther than expected.

The electronic National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) is a pan-India online trading portal launched by the Prime Minister of India on April 14, 2016. It is wholly funded by the Central Government and focuses on the amalgamation of Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMCs) across the country via a common online market platform.
