  • Himachal Kisan Sabha & CITU Plan March to Protest Against Govt’s Labour, Farm Policies

    The convention was chaired by CITU state president Vijendra Mehra and HKS state president Kuldeep Singh Tanwar to discuss the April 5 march to Parliament. The convention was inaugurated by CITU's national president, Kashmir Singh Thakur. Pushpendra Tyagi, Prem Gautam, Omkar Shad, Hotam Saunkhala, and Bhupendra Singh, national leaders of the All India Kisan Sabha, also spoke at the conference. Rakesh Singha, a former MLA, brought it to a close.

     

  • Parshottam Rupala to Visit Meghalaya’s Garo Hills & Border Haats

    "On January 9, 2023, the Minister will chair a review meeting of different flagship schemes by the government of India in Ampati, South West Garo Hills, alongside government officials and stakeholders," according to the notification. "Rupala will meet self-help groups for women, dairy farmers, and regional fisheries entrepreneurs on January 10, 2023," the ministry added. According to the ministry, this will be Union Minister Rupala's first visit to the state's South West Garo Hills. He would also visit Bangladesh Border Haats to interact with the border communities.

     

  • PM SVANidhi: Loans worth Rs 1,550 crore Disbursed to Small Scale Entrepreneurs & Street Vendors

    PM SVANidhi scheme aims to provide collateral-free working capital loans of up to INR10,000/- with a one-year repayment period to approximately 50 lakh street vendors in order to help them restart their businesses in urban areas, including surrounding peri-urban/rural areas.  The loans were made available through programmes such as the Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Yojana, Mudra Yojana, and Pashupalak Kisan Credit Card. Others, according to officials, will receive their loan amounts throughout the day. "During the credit outreach programme in Kota, Rajasthan,@nsitharaman hands over more than 33,000 loan sanction letters totaling more than Rs 1,550 crore under various central government schemes," the Finance Minister's office said in a tweet.

     

     

  • Garuda Aerospace & Rallis India Join Hands to Leverage Technology in Agricultural Operations

    A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was recently signed by Garuda Aerospace, the country's top manufacturer of drones, and Rallis India Limited, a major participant in the agriculture sector and a subsidiary of Tata Chemicals. Rallis will provide Garuda with pesticides and crop nutrients for a pilot demonstration and the aerial application of pesticides to fields, primarily in the states of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. Together, Garuda Aerospace and Rallis India Limited are using technology in agricultural operations to improve the lives of farmers. Rallis India is well known for its farmer participation and as a dependable supplier of high-quality agrochemicals, crop fertilizers, and seeds. The company's goal statement is 'Serving Farmers through Science'.
