India Exports GI certified Fazil Mango to Bahrain
Geographical Identification (GI) certified Fazil mango variety sourced from West Bengal’s Malda district has been exported to Bahrain. The consignment of Fazil mango was exported by APEDA registered DM enterprises, Kolkata and imported by Al Jazira group, Bahrain.

Heavy rainfall Likely in Mumbai from July 11, orange alert issued
With the revival of monsoon, the Weather Department has issued an orange alert for the Konkan region- Mumbai, Raigad, Thane, Ratnagiri & Sindhudurg predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places for 3 days starting July 11.

200 Farmers to protest near Parliament from 22 July: Bhartiya Kisan Union
As many as 200 farmers will hold protest near parliament from July 22 onwards, informed Rakesh Tikait, Bhartiya Kisan Union Leader. He added “If the Government wants discussion on farm bills, we're ready for talks. But, if talks do not happen or reap fruitful results, then from 22 July onwards, 200 of our people will hold protests near Parliament”.

Cabinet approves amendment to Coconut Development Board Act
The Centre on Thursday (9 July) has decided to modify the Coconut Development Board Act, 1979 to make the post of chairman non-executive, as part of its efforts to increase production & productivity in this sector. Briefing the reporters after the Cabinet meeting, Narendra Singh Tomar, Agriculture Minister said, "We are going to make amendments in the Coconut Development Board Act."
