  • PM Modi to virtually transfer Rs 19,500 crore to farmers

    Pradhan Mantri Narendra Modi virtually transferred Rs 19,500 crore to 9.75 farmers as part of PM-Kisan Scheme & noted how the country has seen the strength of its farmers during Covid-19 pandemic. The ninth installment amounting of Rs 1.57 lakh crore for the farmers families under PM-Kisan scheme. It was announced in February 2019 in Union Budget.

     

  • ACMS sought the setting up of Tea Ministry

    The workers body, Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS) sought the setting up of a tea ministry in Assam. ACMS president & former DoNER minister Praban Singh Ghatowar while participating in 63rd foundation day of ACMS in Dibrugarh said that the setting up of a tea mministry was a long pending demand of the people of state. He said that the “Tea is major contributor in state economy & sector is the largest employment provider in State”.

  • MD & CEO of BSE to extend the Trading Hours for Stocks

    Ashish Chauhan, MD & CEO of BSE highlighted discrimination between commodity & equity market trading in India. He said that the commodity markets trade from 9 am to 11.55 pm. And, when it comes to the equities, we somehow want to stop at 3.30 pm. He said that India is losing our trade volumes to Dubai, US, Singapore bourses.

  • Coal India: Q1 results rises 52% to Rs 3,170 crore

    On 10th August (Tuesday) reported a Q1 consolidated net profit at Rs 3,170 crore, up to 52% as compared to Rs 2,078 crore in the same quarter last year. The Total revenue of the company from operations rose nearly 37% to Rs 25,282 a crore as against Rs 18,487 crore year on year. The production of miner during the quarter stood at 123.98 million tones as compared to 121 mt in the year ago quarter, whereas the offtake stood at 160.44 million tonnes versus 120.8 mt.

  • PM Modi to Launch Ujjwala 2.0 at Mahoba, UP

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the second phase of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Scheme in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh to provide the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) connections to those living in below poverty line. PM Modi handed over the free gas connection to around 10 women virtually.
