  • IYoM 2023: Parshottam Rupala Unveils Krishi Jagran’s ‘Special Edition on Millets’ Today

    Kickstarting the International Year of the Millets, Krishi Jagran hosted “The unveiling ceremony of ‘Special Edition on Millets’ & Discussion on Millets”. Parshottam Rupala, Minister of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry & Dairy Development also virtually joined the event as the chief guest. He congratulated Krishi Jagran for successfully organizing this event and unveiled the 'Special Edition on Millets' magazine and said, "Through your initiative, our nation's farmers are reaping great benefits. I feel overjoyed to know that Millet, the superfood of India, is being recognized in every corner of the world."

     

  • “Bihar Got Only 68% of Allocated Urea Supply This Kharif Season”: Agri Secretary

    Bihar agriculture secretary N Saravana Kumar informed on Wednesday that the department had increased surveillance and monitoring of urea distribution due to a short supply from authorised manufacturers, as the state received approximately 68% of its allotted urea supply in October and November.

     

  • Meghalaya: CM Sangma Launches Shared School Bus System, Agriculture Response Vehicle Scheme

    Conrad Sangma, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, unveiled the shared school bus system, prime tourism vehicles, and agriculture response vehicle scheme. The chief minister launched shared school buses on Wednesday, hoping to reduce traffic congestion in Shillong. The buses are part of the Sustainable Transport and Efficient Mobility Society (STEMS) programme, which focuses on mobility and overall transportation to help the city decongest.​

     

  • Guyana President Meets Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar

    On Thursday, Guyana President Mohamed Irfaan Ali met with Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar in Delhi. Ali had travelled to India to attend the 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD). On the sidelines of the PBD, President Ali also met with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Indore on January 10. The two leaders discussed the possibility of collaborating in the trade and industry sectors during their meeting. CM Chouhan also presented the Guyanese president with tribal paintings from Madhya Pradesh.

     

  • U.S. Grains Council Opens Its New Office in New Delhi

    The United States Grains Council (USGC), a private, non-profit export market development organisation supported by the United States Department of Agriculture, has opened its newest office in New Delhi, India. To mark the occasion, a delegation of Council leadership, including the president, vice president, and executive board, has arrived in Delhi to open the office and sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Society of Indian Automobile Association (SIAM) at the Auto Expo 2023.
