  • PM Modi Inaugurates World's Longest River Cruise ‘Ganga Vilas’: Here’s All You Need to Know About It

    The longest luxury river trip in the world sets sail today. The journey is made on the MV Ganga Vilas, a high-end yacht. The route to set from Varanasi to Bangladesh and then to Dibrugarh, Assam. The inaugural trip was taken by 32 Swiss visitors. On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conferencing inaugurated the MV Ganga Vilas, the world's longest river cruise.

     

  • Best Agripreneurs Awarded on National Youth Day at NASC Complex, New Delhi

    Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business (AC&ABC), a mega flagship Scheme of the Government of India implemented in the country in collaboration with NABARD since 2002, aims to transform unemployed youth into self-employed Agripreneurs through a 45-day free residential training in various parts of the country with a provision for bank loan and subsidy.

     

  • India & US to Strengthen Dialogue on Food, Agricultural Trade in 2023

    The governments of India and the United States announced a new working group on Thursday (January 12th) to build sustainable supply chains and boost bilateral trade. According to a statement issued following a Trade Policy Forum meeting in Washington D.C., the working group will initially focus on trade facilitation, digitization of customs procedures, issues related to sustainable finance, and scaling up of innovative clean technologies.

     

  • “Bihar Receives Only 68% of Allocated Urea Supply This Kharif Season”: Agri Secretary

    Bihar agriculture secretary N Saravana Kumar informed on Wednesday that the department had increased surveillance and monitoring of urea distribution due to a short supply from authorised manufacturers, as the state received approximately 68% of its allotted urea supply in October and November. In response to media reports of widespread scarcity of the fertiliser, Kumar stated that all district agriculture officers (DAOs) have been instructed to keep track of the movement and distribution of urea to farmers, up to panchayat-levels, due to a shortage of supply this month.

     

  • CM Sangma Launches Shared School Bus System, Agriculture Response Vehicle Scheme

    Conrad Sangma, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, unveiled the shared school bus system, prime tourism vehicles, and agriculture response vehicle scheme. The chief minister launched shared school buses on Wednesday, hoping to reduce traffic congestion in Shillong. The buses are part of the Sustainable Transport and Efficient Mobility Society (STEMS) programme, which focuses on mobility and overall transportation to help the city decongest.​
