  • Coronavirus Latest Updates: Over 11,000 infections in 24 hours; Death Toll Reaches 8,890 

    India reported total 309,603 coronavirus cases in the on Saturday after listed 4th position in worst hit countries recording 11,458 fresh infections in 24 hours. Moreover, 1 lakh cases was recorded in the last 10 days.  A sharp rise in infections are seen from those parts of the country that were previously unaffected by the pandemic. 

  • Pakistani Player Shahid Afridi tests positive for Covid-19, Fans Keep Praying 

    Popular Pakistani cricketer and former skipper Shahid Afridi has tested positive for Covid-19, says the shocking reports. Revealing it in a tweet, Afridi said that he had been feeling unwell since Thursday and asked his fans and well-wishers to keep him in their prayers. 

    “I’ve been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I’ve been tested and unfortunately I’m covid positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery, InshaAllah,” Afridi tweeted.

  • Vasant Raiji, India’s oldest first-class cricketer Passes Away 

    Vasant Raiji, who was once considered as India’s oldest first-class cricketer has passed away on Saturday at the age of 100. The most underrated right-handed batsman, played nine first-class matches in the 1940s, scoring 277 runs with 68 being his highest score. He made his debut for a Cricket Club of India team that played Central Provinces and Berar in Nagpur in 1939. 

     

  • CGPSC Preliminary Exam result 2019 Announced, Visit psc.cg.gov.in to Check

    Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission, commonly known as CGPSC, has declared the results for the State Service prelims exam 2019 on its official website on Friday. The CGPSC examination was conducted on February 9, 2020. For the main examination, 3,617 candidates have been shortlisted on the grounds of performance. To check the results, the candidates can log on to at psc.cg.gov.in. Selected candidates will have to apply for the main examination separately. The students will be intimated about the mains exam by the commission through the official website.

  • Haryana Farmers Upset with Fall in Maize Prices

    Prospects of good harvest and crop diversification of farmers in Haryana have been badly affected by the fall in prices of maize. Due to insufficient government procurement agencies, growers are being forced to sell their produce at Rs 1,000-1,200 / quintal to private traders. To recall, the minimum support price (MSP) of maize was hiked to Rs 1,850 / quintal.
