  • IMD Predicts Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in 4 States till 16th Sep

    On 14th September (Tuesday) the India Meteorological said that the enhanced rainfall activity to continue over Gujarat & Madhya Pradesh in the next 2 days. IMD predicted an increase in the rainfall over the parts plains of northwest India with the fresh spell of heavy rains at the isolated places over Rajasthan, Haryana & West Uttar Pradesh from 16th September. The weather department has predicted fairly widespread rainfall over Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh & interior Odisha with the isolated heavy to very heavy rains on 14th & the reduction intensity thereafter.

     

  • Government of Maharashtra expects 5.6% Increase in Sugar Production

    The Sugar production of Maharashtra is the second-largest sugar-producing state of India, is expected to increase by 5.6% to touch 112lakh tonnes during the next Sugar Season, beginning from 1st October. The will begin it's 2021 to 2022 crushing season from 15th October, a committee of the ministers headed by the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackery has decided on 13th September.

  • Growers of Cardamom, traders decry parallel Auctions

    The Centre’s decision to allow the private firms to conduct cardamom e-auctions has irked the farming community, trade unions & traders. They allege a parallel trading session has come into existence alongside officials auction conducted by the Spices Board at Puttady in Idukki district of Kerala & Bodinayakkanur in Tamil Nadu.
