  • IIT Madras Develops Mobile Pollution Monitoring with Data Science & IoT

    Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) Researchers have developed a low-cost mobile air pollution monitoring framework in which, pollution sensors mounted on public vehicles can dynamically monitor the air quality of an extended area at high spatial and temporal resolution. Traditionally, ambient air quality is measured in monitoring stations and reported as ‘Air Quality Index’ (AQI). Since these stations are at fixed locations, they only measure the air quality of a small geographic area.

  • Former CJI P. Sathasivam to Visit KJ Chaupal at Krishi Jagran's Delhi Office

    Former Chief Justice of India and former Governor of Kerala, P. Sathasivam will visit Krishi Jagran Chaupal on Friday, May 16 to meet the founder of Krishi Jagran MC Dominic. Sathasivam served as the 40th CJI from July 19, 2013, to April 26, 2014. In September 2014, he was appointed as the Governor of Kerala until September 2019.

  • Sunflower, Soyabean Oil Prices to Reduce as Import Duty Slashed

    The Central Government has announced a reduction in the basic import duty on edible oils. The Department of Food and Public Distribution issued a notification, on June 14, 2023, stating that the basic import duty on refined soyabean oil and refined sunflower oil has been reduced from 17.5% to 12.5% with immediate effect. This reduction will be in effect until March 31, 2024.
