SC hearing plea to remove protesting farmers from Delhi borders
Supreme Court begins hearing pleas seeking a direction to authorities to immediately remove the farmers who are protesting at several border points of Delhi against the three new farm laws.
After the counsel appearing for petitioner mentions Shaheen Bagh case to remove farmers from Delhi borders, CJI says, there cannot be a precedent in law and order matter.

Fog & smog make people breathe heavy in UP
The mercury has started dropping all over Uttar Pradesh but more than the cold it is the fog and smog that is proving to be a major cause of trouble for the people who are prone to respiratory problems.
Hospitals in Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj and Agra have already reported a surge in patients with respiratory problems. "Though the cold wave has not yet set in the true sense of the term, and minimum temperatures have hovered around 9 degrees Celsius; it is the smog that hangs heavy in the air and is causing problems for those with respiratory issues," said P.K. Tripathi, a pulmonary disease expert. -
Rajasthan: Mount Abu shivers at 1.4 degrees
As the temperature continues to plummet in Rajasthan, hill station Mount Abu registered a minimum temperature of 1.4 degree Celsius, making it the coldest place in the desert state.
Besides Mount Abu, Sriganganagar registered 2.5 degree Celsius, Churu 5.1 degrees, Jaisalmer 5.2, Bikaner 6.1, Phalodi 6.2, Pilani 4.4 and Sikar recorded 7.5 degrees. A total of 17 districts registered a temperature of less than 10 degree Celsius on Tuesday night. -
Covid-positive Haryana Minister Vij admitted to Medanta in critical condition
Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij, who is currently battling the Covid-19 infection, was on Tuesday admitted to Gurugram's Medanta Hospital in a critical condition, officials said.
The minister is getting treatment under Dr Sushila Kataria, senior director of the Internal Medicine Department at Medanta, sources told, adding that the minister is suffering from a lung infection. However, there was no official response from the hospital.
