  • Uttarakhand Forest Department to discover New & Rare Orchid Species

    The Research wing of Uttarakhand Forest Department has discovered a new & rare species or Orchid, and as per an Indian Forest Services Officer. It is known as a Cephalanthera eracta var. Oblanceolata, it was discovered in Chamoli district. The species discovered previously was not reported in India. This discovery was made by the team of the Range Officer Harish Negi & Junior Research Fellow Manoj Singh while exploring Mandal area of the Chamoli district.

  • IMD Predicts Heavy Rains in the next 4 to 5 days

    On 16th August (Monday) The India Meteorological Department said, widespread to isolated heavy rains is likely to continue over the Northeast India & Sum- Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 4 to 5 days. Isolated heavy to very heavy rains is likely to occur over Assam & Meghalaya.

  • HDFC to Raise Funds from Retail Investors for ‘Green & Sustainable Housing’

    Mortgage lender Housing Development Finance Corporation is planning to raise the funds from the retail investors to support the financing of green & sustainable housing projects including loans to developers & homebuyers. The financing has offered through these ‘Green & Sustainable Deposits’ will aim to safeguard the environment from the climate change.

  • Government to Circulate ’Draft Electricity Rules 2021’ for Green Energy access

    On 16th August (Monday), The Ministry of Power has circulated a ‘Draft Electricity Rules, 2021’. They have placed the draft rules on Ministry of Power official website and sought the comments within 30 days. These rules are proposed for the purchase & consumption of the green energy including energy from the waste-to-energy plants.

  • SBI announce Fees Waiver & Low Rates to commemorate 75th Independence Day

    The State Bank of India has announced concessional interest rates, waiver of processing the charges on loans & higher deposit rates on a specific tenure to commemorate India’s 75th Independence day. SBI said that it will waive the processing fee for its car loan customers & has offered up to 90% on- road financing for their car loans.
