  • Kisan Agri Show 2022: VST Tractors Launch the New VST 939DI in Pune

    VST Tillers Tractors Ltd is showcasing a variety of farm equipment at the Krishi Agri Show 2022 in Pune. As their main attraction, they’ve launched the  VST 939DI tractor model along with some other newly launched models. With a 3-cylinder DI engine and torque of 108 NM along with being fuel efficient, VST 939DI is apt for the use in farming activities. The model is also equipped with full synchromesh 9+3 gearbox and additional independent power take-off to facilitate hassle-free engagement and disengagement of implements. It holds a lift capacity up to 1250kg with mechanisms like dual-clutch, dual-acting, power steering, super ergonomics and styling. The design would be instrumental in boosting the productivity and income of Indian farmers. 

  • IRRl Collaborates with Indonesian Govt to Help Rice Farmers Make Science-Based Decisions

    IRRI signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS) during the workshop along with a Letter of Intent to collaborate with the Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Instrument Standardization (IAAIS) of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia. Furthermore, IRRI also signed a 'Letter of Agreement' with Viamo, the country's leading telecom service provider, to implement its Rice Crop Manager (RCM) Project.The RCM Project will create and disseminate a digital agriculture platform that will provide science-based information to help rice production become more efficient. 

  • 7th Edition of India Water Impact Summit Concludes Today

    The 7th India Water Impact Summit came to an end on Sunday, December 17, following three days of successful discussions on significant issues related to water conservation and river revitalization, with a focus on the rebirth of minor rivers for the preservation of major basins. The experts from the water, environmental, and administrative sectors unanimously agreed on the third and final day of the summit that the country urgently needs to create a National River Framework that would set the standards for monitoring river health, responsibility, and process. It was agreed upon by all specialists that just biochemical indicators alone cannot determine the direction of a river's health. 

  • PM Modi Attends Golden Jubilee Celebrations of North-East Council in Shillong

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah took part in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the North-East Council (NEC) in Shillong, Meghalaya. Numerous dignitaries, including the Chief Ministers of neighboring North-Eastern states and the Governor of Meghalaya, Brig. (Dr) B. D. Mishra, were present on this occasion. During the NEC Meet presided over by PM Modi, Shah claimed that in addition to praising the council's work over the previous 50 years, the prime minister also gave instructions for the creation of a blueprint outlining all aspects of the region's development over the following 25 years and the setting of goals.

     

  • PM Kisan Money Could Be Increased Soon!

    Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS), a farmer organization affiliated to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has decided to organize a nationwide protest march in Delhi on Monday (19th December). During the protest, the group will demand various relief measures to improve the condition of the farmers in the country. According to BKS Executive Committee Member Nana Akhare, farmers produce grains, vegetables, fruits and milk on a large scale, but they are not able to get the right price for their produce. 

  • Nigeria Launches 10-Year Document to Achieve Rice Self-Sufficiency

    The Nigerian government launched the second phase of the National Rice Development Strategy (NRDS II) and the Competitive Africa Rice Platform (CARP)-NIgeria recently in a renewed effort to boost rice production in the country. The German International Cooperation (GIZ) backs the 10-year plan, which will be implemented from 2020 to 2030. It aims to guide the development of the rice subsector to achieve the government's goals of self-sufficiency in rice production, food and nutrition security, job creation, and surplus production for export.
