IMD Predicts Heavy Rains in These States
The India Meteorological Department predicted heavy to very heavy rains at the isolated places over Uttar Pradesh & heavy rains at the isolated places over West Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Telangana, Gujarat State, and Konkan & Goa, and Tamilnadu, Karaikal & Puducherry. India’s monsoon has gathered pace in the month of September & seasonal rains are likely to be robust throughout the whole month. There will be thunderstorms along with lightning is likely at the isolated places over Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, etc.

Inter-State Travel Seminar on Direct Seeded Rice (DSR) Organized
The Department of Agronomy, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Punjab in collaboration with the ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Ludhiana; Department of Agriculture, Government of Punjab and NABARD, Chandigarh, Punjab organized an Inter-State Travel Seminar on “Direct Seeded Rice (DSR)” on 15 September.
