  • PM Kisan: 12th Installment Not Paid to Farmers Who Haven’t Updated eKYC

    Many farmers registered under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana are currently racing against the November 30 deadline to complete the eKYC details to take benefit of the scheme. It is important to mention that the Union government made it mandatory to update eKYC details by linking the Aadhaar number. As per latest media reports, several farmers in Tamil Nadu’s Thanjavur district who had received the 11th installment of Rs 2,000 were not given the last or 12th installment of PM Kisan. A farmer from Pallathur told media that as many as 40 people from his village, including him, did not receive the 12th installment.

  • Chhattisgarh: Paddy Procurement Surpasses 12 Million Tonne Mark

    On Wednesday, the Chhattisgarh paddy production reached 12 lakh tonnes. In the current market year, the state government has so far purchased roughly 13.34 lakh tonnes of paddy. A payment of Rs 2,803 crore has been distributed among 3.85 lakh farmers in the lieu of paddy purchase. Along with the acquisition of the crop, work to elevate the paddy for custom milling is under process. Approximately 5.73 lakh metric tonnes of paddy have been taken from the societies for custom milling, and it is anticipated that 110 lakh metric tonnes of paddy would be purchased this year, according to an official announcement.
