ICAR-CRIJAF, Barrackpore Observes Vigilance Awareness Week-2022

ICAR-Central Research Institute for Jute and Allied Fibres (ICAR-CRIJAF), Barrackpore, Kolkata observed Vigilance Awareness Week-2022 from 31 Oct to 6 Nov on the Theme “Corruption-free India for a developed Nation”.

In the Inauguration program of the Vigilance Awareness Week on 31st October, Dr Gouranga Kar, Director of ICAR-CRIJAF administered the Integrity Pledge to all the Officers and staff of the institute and appealed to the employees, to be honest, corruption free, disciplined, punctual, dedicated and efficient in the organization as well as in public life.

Several programs related to vigilance were organized during the week-long celebration. Activities such as Speech Competition on the topic ‘Corruption free India for a developed Nation’, Drawing Competition related to the theme for all the staff members and their family members.

Quiz competitions on the theme were also organized through which the understanding and insight of Vigilance Awareness were percolated in the right spirit among the officers and staff of the institute. The institute also arranged and encouraged the staff and their family members to take the online Integrity pledge.

In his concluding remarks Dr. Gouranga Kar, Director, ICAR-CRIJAF reiterated that the purpose of vigilance activity is not only to reduce corruption but also to enhance the level of managerial efficiency and effectiveness in the organization.  In the end, Dr. Gouranga Kar conveyed his gratitude and thanks to Dr Himangshu Pathak, Secretary, DARE and DG ICAR for giving the institute whole-hearted support for organizing the Vigilance Awareness Week-2022.

He also expressed gratitude to Ranjan Agarwal, Chief Vigilance Officer of ICAR, New Delhi and also thanked the institute’s organizers of the Vigilance Awareness Week-2022 celebration for conducting the same meticulously which truly served the very purpose of observing the Vigilance Awareness Week at the institute level.
