On 25th June, the cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sh. Jai Ram Thakur. Various decisions were taken in the meeting for the welfare of Himachal Pradesh.
Regularization of PTA, PAT and PARA teachers in government schools–
The cabinet has decided to regularize the teachers in education sector, which will benefit around 6,500 PTA, 3,300 PAT and 97 PARA teachers, in various government schools.
Approval for scheme of Interest Subvention on working capital loan –
With an aim to revive the tourism and hospitality industry in the state, the cabinet gave nod for a scheme for Interest Subvention on working capital loan.
Availability of working capital loan for the tourism units:
- Units paying GST up to INR One Crore – Maximum loan up to INR 50 lakh
- Units paying GST between one crore to three crore – Maximum loan up to INR 75 Lakh
- Units paying GST abovethree crore – Maximum loan up to INR one crore
- Small registered tourism units - Eligible for loan up to INR 15 lakhs
Loan Period: Four Years, with interest subvention of 50% each for the first two years.
The cabinet also decided to come up with a similar scheme for Transport Department, in near future.
Enhancement of support price for Apple, Mango and Citrus fruits –
The cabinet, also passed the resolution to enhance the support price under Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) for Apple, Mango and Citrus fruits.
Under this scheme, around 1.50 lakh MT of apple will be procured from 20th July to 15th November, 2020. The price has been enhanced by 50 paise from INR 8 to INR 8.50 per Kg.
For procurement of seedling mango, achari mango and grafted mango from 1st July to 31st August, 2020, the support price under MIS has been enhanced to INR 8.50 per Kg.
From 21st November, 2020 to 15th February, 2021 the support price for ‘B’ grade Kinnow, Malta, and Orange has been fixed at INR 7.50 per Kg, for ‘C’ grade Kinnow, Malta and Orange it has been fixed at INR 7 per Kg. Support price for galgal had been fixed at INR 6 per Kg.
Assistance for promotion of cultivation of aromatic plants –
Under the new scheme ‘Mehak’, the state government gave approval for providing assistance for promoting aromatic plants. Cabinet also passed the resolution to fill up 500 posts of Junior Office Assistant (JOA) in the Education Department through HPSSC, Hamirpur.
Cabinet extends tenders for supply of essential commodities in tribal areas –
The cabinet gave extension for present tenders for supply of food grains and essential commodities for the tribal areas on existing rates.
Issues letter of intent for establishment of Winery in Mandi and Solan Districts –
The cabinet also gave approval in favour of M/S Hillthrill Agro Processers Private Limited for setting up of winery at Chachiot Tehsil of Mandi siatrict, and M/S Alcobrew Distilleries India Private Limited for setting up distillery unit in Solan district.
Guidelines under Krishi Utpaad Sarankshan Yojana (KUSHY) –
The cabinet also approved guidelines under KUSHY scheme, for setting up of permanent structures of Bamboo or Steel for anti-hail nets. This will help farmers to protect their crops from hailstorms. The state government will provide assistance up to 50% under this scheme.
