The Central government launched PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to offer financial assistance to farmers across the country. Under the scheme, the Government provides Rs 6,000 to the farmers in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each.
So far, the government has transferred 11 installments to the accounts of farmers. And now farmers are eagerly waiting for the 12th installment.
Will Husband and wife get 12th installment?
A big question here is - can a husband and wife both take benefit of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana? Let me tell you that either a husband or wife can apply for PM Kisan Yojana. This means only one person from a family will get the benefit of the scheme. If both - husband and wife have applied for the scheme & received the benefit, then one of them will have to return the money.
The family concept in India means husband, wife, and their two minor children. And as per the PM Kisan rule, only one member of the family can get its benefit.
Who is eligible for PM Kisan?
All the farmers in the country can apply for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, excluding;
Those who file Income Tax Return (ITR). These people cannot apply for the scheme.
A person whose land is not registered under his or her name is also ineligible for the scheme. This means the scheme cannot be availed if the land is registered under the name of any other family member.
Doctors, lawyers, chartered accountants and engineers, are also not eligible for the scheme.
Last but not the least, the scheme is not for owners of farmlands who are government employees.

PM Kisan 12 Installment Date
As per various sources, the next installment of PM Kisan will be released either in August or September. However, the exact month or date is yet to be announced by the government.
