The a-IDEA, Technology Business Incubator (TBI) of ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad conducted a Sensitization Program on “Entrepreneurship Development in Agriculture for the Students of Rajasthan College of Agriculture, MPUAT, Udaipur” to persuade them towards Entrepreneurship.
Need For Self-Sustained Economy Through Entrepreneurship
The Chief Guest, Dr. N.S. Rathore, Vice-Chancellor, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, Rajasthan while inaugurating the Program stressed on the need for a self-sustained economy through Entrepreneurship. He said there is a need for market intelligence for the students before venturing into any Entrepreneurship.
Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, highlighted various benefits of taking Entrepreneurship as a profession, viz., more income and employment, increased exports revenue, less wastage of food and food by-products and the better livelihood sustenance for being an Entrepreneur, etc.
Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad Dr. G. Venkateshwarlu, urged the students for taking the advantage of the several national initiatives of the Government of India under the Start-Up ecosystem.
Welcoming the dignitaries, Dr. S.S. Sisodiya, Professor and Head, Department of Extension Education, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, MPUAT outlined the need and importance of Entrepreneurship. Additional C.E.O., a-IDEA, ICAR-NAARM, Dr. N.A. Vijay Avinashilingam accentuated on the need for developing a vibrant Start-Up Ecosystem in the country. He talked about the importance of a-IDEA in incubating the Start-Ups in Agri-Ecosystem.
Dr. Radhakrishna P.M., C.E.O., Chemlife Innovation & an Entrepreneur in Safer Food Additives supported by a-IDEA also shared his experiences of turning his idea into a successful Start-Up during the occasion. The Sensitization Program was organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence. About 441 Students of MPUAT, Udaipur took part in the event.
