Mahendra Singh Dhoni is all set to start farming his own batch of 2 thousand black 'Kadaknath' chickens at his organic poultry unit located in Ranchi. The Ex-captain of Indian cricket team has requested for 2,000 chicks for his farm. The Kadaknath breed, initially from Jhabua locale of Madhya Pradesh, will arrive at his ranch soon.
The order for Dhoni's farm will be conveyed by December 15 of this year. Mr. Vinod Menda, a tribal farmer from Thandla will deliver the same.
IS Tomar, head of the Kadaknath Murga Research Center in Jhabua, told journalists that Dhoni had at first reached him through his companions; however as he was not in a situation to convey, Mr. Dhoni was requested to contact the rancher from Thandla.
The Kadaknath chicken meat has GI tag and is perceived for its tasty taste with dark blood and dark flesh. It is liberated from fat and cholesterol.
Kadaknath, additionally called Kali Masi (fowl with dark tissue), is an Indian type of chicken. They are originally from Dhar and Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh, Bastar (Chattisgarh) and the bordering areas of Gujarat and Rajasthan, covering around 800 square miles. These creatures are generally reproduced by the provincial poor, tribals and adivasis. The Kadaknath is considered as sacred and sacrificed to the Goddess after Diwali festival. There are three assortments namely golden, jet black and pencilled. The variety's meat has a fat substance of 0.75–1% contrasted with the 15–25% of other chicken breeds. The meat from this variety has a geological sign label (GI Tag) that was affirmed by the Indian government on 30 July 2018.
