Tulip Festival, Kashmir

During the month of April, you must visit the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden. The park, which overlooks Dal Lake in Srinagar and is home to Asia's largest Tulip Flower Show, is located in the foothills of the Zabarwan range. Baisakhi, Punjab

Baisakhi, which is largely celebrated in Amritsar, Punjab, is one of the most popular Hindu festivals in India in April 2022. Baisakhi is observed on the first day of the Nanakshahi calendar. Every year, the Baisakhi celebration falls in the month of Baisakh, which is also the harvest season for the Rabi crop. Shad Suk Mynsiem, Meghalaya

In Meghalaya, the Shad Suk Mynsiem is observed. The Khasi men and women prefer to celebrate harvest season in their own unique way, just like the rest of India does. In this part of northeast India, it's also known as the Thanksgiving Dance Festival.

Aoling Festival, Nagaland

Aoling is the celebration of the ferocious Konyak Tribes — Nagaland's headhunter tribes – which takes place in April in the Mon region of Nagaland in North East India. They currently spend the most of their time working in agriculture, drinking alcohol, using opium, and occasionally hunting. Every year, they celebrate to commemorate the start of the spring holiday.

Highlights of the Aoling Festival include regional dance and activities performed by Konyak men and women.

Chithirai Festival, Tamil Nadu

Chithirai Festival, one of the religious festivals observed in South India in April, lasts approximately two weeks! Lord Shiva (Sundareswarar) and Goddess Meenakshi (Lord Vishnu's sister) married at the event. Throughout the event, there are several processions, beginning with the flag hoisting ceremony. The celebrations go to Kallazhagar Temple in Alagar Hills near Madurai after the holy couple's wedding.

Highlights of the Chithirai Festival include the goddess Meenakshi's coronation and procession, the procession of temple chariots, Shiva and Meenakshi's heavenly wedding, and Lord Kallazhagar's entrance into the River Vaigai.

Chithirai Festival 2022 will take place from May 3rd to May 19th, 2022.

Ooty Mariamman Temple Festival And Coonoor Mariamman Temple Festival, Tamil Nadu

This festival honours Mother Durga, who represents three powers known as Itcha Sakti, Gnana Sakti, and Kriya Sakti, and is held in the Mariamman Temples in Ooty and Coonoor. Processions are held around Ooty and Coonoor to help coordinate the celebrations.

Mopin Festival, Arunachal Pradesh
