From January 14–19, 2024, in Kampala, Uganda, FICCI is organizing a Business Delegation to the East Africa Investment Forum & Trade Exhibition (conducted in conjunction with the 19th NAM & Third South Summits / G77 Summit).
The Group of 77 (G77) and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) provide forums for developing nations to work together and express their concerns on matters of shared interest. "Deeper cooperation in Trade, Tourism, and Investment for shared global affluence" is the subject of the 2024 NAM summit, which will take place in Uganda. The Indian Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar, is anticipated to attend this high-level meeting.
Key MOU Partner for FICCI The East Africa Investment Forum & Trade Exhibition, organized by the Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), the regional apex body of the private sector, will take place at the Serena Hotel in Kampala, Uganda from January 15–18, 2024. The purpose of the event is to present viable projects that are ready for investment to investors from East Africa, Africa, and abroad, as well as to explore continental and global trends.
Along with the 500+ delegates, the Exhibition will be attended by ministers, top government officials, business executives, possible investors, and financial institutions. The summit will enhance business-to-business interactions, collaborations, and alliances.
Among the main industries of interest to India are banking and fintech, textiles, services, agriculture, manufacturing, IT and ITES, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, education and skills development, and renewable energy.
