Making India a Global Drone Hub

Over the years FICCI has been working with MoCA, DGCA, DPIIT and others towards the mission of benefiting masses with drone technology, regulating drone operations in a progressive manner and encouraging the drone industry to work for realising the vision of the Hon'ble Prime Minister to make India a drone hub of the world.

The liberalized drone rules have provided a boost to drone technology, surpassing the application of drones that were previously limited. More companies and start-ups are likely to make investments in this sector. The liberalized policy, ease of doing business, incentives for local manufacturers and announcement of PLI Scheme could go a long way to transform the entire scenario in the country.

In view of this, FICCI and Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) are jointly organizing a Conference titled “Making India a Global Drone Hub” on September 1-2, 2022 at Federation House, New Delhi. This programme aims to bring together leading drone manufacturers and service providers, officials from the Central and State Governments, and other stakeholders to share their experiences, ideas on various aspects of technology, regulations and applications.

It would also provide a platform for start-ups, practitioners and academia to present recent innovations, and trends and explore business opportunities in the field of drone, counter-drone, and their applications. The programme will also witness the felicitation ceremony of the prestigious “FICCI SMART Policing Awards”, wherein police departments and officials across the country will be awarded for their initiatives under various categories.
