To help farmers increase productivity and double their income Central as well as state governments are offering subsidy on various agricultural machinery. It becomes easy for the farmers to buy farm machines on government subsidy.
Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Department is inviting applications for allotment of subsidy for agricultural machines useful for the farmers. Interested farmers can avail the subsidy.
Machines Available on Grant
Shredder / Mulcher, Power Tiller (more than 8 BHP), Laser Land Leveler, Reaper Cum Binder, Leveler Blade (Heavy Duty) are available on grant.
Out of the above-mentioned agricultural machines, the targets of laser land leveler and leveler blade (light duty and heavy duty) have been issued only for the flood-affected areas of Gwalior and Chambal division.
How much Subsidy Available on the Machines?
There is a provision to give different subsidies which range from 40 to 50%. Farmers who want to take agricultural machinery can see the information about the subsidy they will get according to the cost of agricultural machinery on the subsidy calculator available on the Kisan Portal.
Bank Draft Necessary for Availing Subsidy
To apply for agricultural machinery subsidy, farmers will have to make a bank draft. A bank draft of Rs 5,000 has been made mandatory for the application of agricultural machinery by the Agricultural Engineering Department of Madhya Pradesh. This would ensure that the farmers definitely buy the agricultural machinery when their name is selected. Interested farmers must keep a bank draft of Rs 5,000 while applying this time.
Bank draft will be returned to all those farmers whose names will not be selected in the lottery. Selected applicants will be required to submit their bank draft in the office of the concerned Assistant Agricultural Engineer within a period of three days after the lottery. Under this arrangement, the earnest money for the applications selected from the lottery and waiting list will be deposited till the final resolution of their case and after that, it will be returned to the farmers.
When & Where to Apply?
Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Department has started the application process for the above-mentioned agricultural machines. Farmers of Madhya Pradesh can apply from 10 September 2021. The last date to apply is 20 September 2021, after which the applications will be closed. After this, the lottery will be issued on 21st September 2021.
