Generally people keep the leftover food in the fridge so that it can be used later. In this way they prevent the food from being wasted but it is important to know that some stored foods might lead to severe health risks. Today in this article we will tell you about foods that must not be kept in fridge for longer period of time.
Milk
Dairy milks are frequent dwellers in refrigerator as we store it for later. When it is frozen, it is vulnerable to change its texture and turn into grainy and slushy. When frozen milk is liquefied, it became chunks and watery parts. Moreover, the fat content in milk also separates. So, it is advisable to use the milk then for making smoothies or for baking purposes only.
Egg
Putting eggs in the refrigerator with its eggshells, cause several infections. As it gets freezed in fridge, the water content is also likely to expand that causes a crack in the outer shell. These cracks are making way for several bacteria.
So instead of keeping it as raw egg, it is better to store eggs, beat them well and keep them in an airtight container.
Potato
While in room temperature, potatoes are so vulnerable to decay. This is why most of us keep them in freezer. But, they are rich in water content and will form into soft and mushy potatoes.
Tomato Sauce
As tomato sauce texture get spoiled while it is in freezer, it is better not to keep them in it. The tomato sauce contains more water content and the water is vulnerable in getting separated from the paste.
Cucumber
Cucumber is another water- rich vegetable and freezing them would give you not fresh cucumbers, but odd taste. Its texture is also gets affect in freezer.
Fruits
Putting fruits inside refrigerator will ruin its flavors and contents as well. The nutritional content in fruits gets dried from inside, which ultimately change their taste.
Fried foods
Freshly cooked or fried foods should not keep in refrigerator as it might lose the crunchiness and turn soggy if it is fried again.
